New blog location
now throw me a housewarming party or something
I think I may start actually writing in this thing. I had the livejournal thingy for a while but I kinda got tired of the interface. This just seems faster and easier for the kind of things I do.
Speaking of housewarming parties, we now have a house to live in next year, so that will be awesome. I'm living with Kevin, Matt, and Chris, all of whom are aweosme. We are all engineers, so hopefully things don't get too nerdy (hah, just wait).
Things are looking great for this summer. Jen is coming up to stay for 6 weeks or so, which is going to be awesome, because we can finally spend some time in the same town. Hopefully I'll be able to find some sort of job and take some sorts of classes so I won't be a total bum. Things are going really great between Jen and myself and I'm so excited that they're only going to get better.
I am slowly become more and more nerdish. I am now running Linux 100% of the time on my laptop... it's not really as hard of a conversion as one might think, but i'm still scared about installing it on my desktop... there's just something I like about having everything work on it without having to screw around. Plus I have way too many weird devices (webcam, remote control, gameboy transfer cable) that don't have simple-to-use linux equivalents. I also found that Cal Poly has a Linux User's Group (LUG), which is sort of like a nerd club, but is very helpful when you have questions about things and need someone's opinion or help. It's also kind of interesting because they go to my school and I feel like I'm meeting people, even if for now it's only in their IRC Channel (Chat Room) ( You need and IRC program to visit it). Well, that's probably enough nerdyness from me.
My parents are coming for Mother's Day weekend so that should be fun. I am kind of annoyed at how dirty our apartment is though... I finally started getting in the habit of cleaning my dishes right after I eat and now I notice that someone isn't even doing theirs at all. I think I used to do these dishes for them because by the time I got around to doing my dishes, I had no idea what was mine, so I just did them all. We are out of forks. That is kind of sad.
Anyway, that about does it for my first entry in my new, hopefully more updated, blog. Enjoy.
