Oh man.
Two days in a row. Are you impressed yet?
Today was one big lump of tiredness. I got to my IME class, thinking I was almost done with the layout of my circuit board. However, I soon found out that I hadn't followed the directions (I didn't even know there were directions!) and I had to start the board over. I screwed things up two or three times importing my schematic into the layout program, but eventually I got it. After a bit (an hour? I never know how much time is passing in that lab) of fighting with the Layout program I finally got my whole board layed out. I asked the TA (who is a tool) to come over and check it and he said, "UH, your ground circuit should be connected to a lot more components." crap. I forgot to connect one wire in my schematic and thus my layout was missing like 8 important traces. Finally I got that fixed, I called the TA over again, and he looks at my schematic and goes "UH, I think you forgot another wire" double crap. I hadn't connected another wire the right way. I thought two particular wires connected to each other, but one actually crossed OVER the other without touching. After fixing the schematic, importing it for like the 10th time into Layout, and drawing the damned traces in, I finally had it. What a pain.
The rest of the day was actually decent. In physics we learned about the Schrodinger Equation, which is freakin crazy stuff. I really like that class because it feels like every day I'm learning something new instead of just rehashing things that we already know. CPE lab was pretty cool. I'm glad I'm in the major I'm in. CSC was ok, EE is tough, but ok, but all my CPE classes have been awesome.
I have a CPE test tomorrow and it's 40 or so multiple choice questions. Considering on the first quiz I got 19/20 and didn't even study (hell, I barely paid attention for the first couple weeks), I'm not too worried. But that's what I should be doing right now and it's what I will probably do after I post this.
It's funny the effect shopping has on girls. It's like therapy, but cheaper. Yesterday Jen had an absolutely hellish day at work. This did not make her mood for the rest of the day very good. Today she went shopping after she came home from school. Total transformation. She called me, sounded really happy and excited. It was awesome. Yay for shopping. I guess getting new things makes everyone feel good, like when I buy a new toy of some sort (computer game, etc) I feel happy... I guess I just don't get excited about clothes like I do electronics, hehe.
I need to get back into playing some games. I stopped playing Warcraft while I was learning Linux (like a month or so) and I've found it tough to get back into playing. I need a good first-person shooter. I think maybe I'll get Splinter Cell, since I've heard it's awesome and the second one just came out. At some point I should probably play Hitman as well-- Karl says it's a lot of fun, so it's probably good times.
Oh man, I am getting so pro at this blog stuff.
