Stupid Days
It looks like it's Saturday... but it's not.
This is kind of weird. I was here on a friday afternoon and I won't see Jen this weekend. Sucks. =/
I did have a pretty cool day though. I did decently on my CPE midterm. I hate multiple choice, but so far I seem to be doing well with the testsso far, so we'll see.
After classes I went to Marcos' room and hung out for a bit whilst struggling with today's crossword puzzle. Yeah, all my confidence with crosswords gained the other day: gone. After that we went and played volleyball and swam for a bit. Robert was nice and tried to teach me how to set the ball. Someday with enough practice I might be OK at a sport- haha, doubtful though =P
When we came back I found out that Marcos, Rob, Sarah, and Amy were going to Sushi with Sarah & Amy's mom and they asked me if I wanted to go. I haven't had sushi for a while and Jen abhores fish, so I figured it would be fun. The place (can't remember the name but it's in the same center as Scolari's) was really good and they were a little different from most places I had been to. Most of their main dishes were rolls. Imagine a long, skinny burrito cut up into slices. Exept instead of a burrito it's got rice, a layer of seaweed (you don't taste it at all, its like lettuce), and some sort of filling you choose (fish, veggies, etc). At first when they brought mine I wondered if it would be enough, but I left quite full. Fun place.
After that we went to Rob's house and watched the Last Samaurai. Such a great movie. I know the story is really sad, but I like a movie that makes you feel for and understand the characters' situations and attitudes. Plus the scenes in it are gorgeous. I wonder if Japan really looks like that. Either way, I'd really like to go there someday.
After that, I came home and talked to Jen for a while, which felt really good cuz I am missing her a lot right now. It was fun to be out with friends, but I still miss being with her. Can't wait until this summer.
All in all, another good day.
