Napoleon Dynamite

or as I call him, "Nappy D"

OK, maybe not, but I saw the movie today and it was super funny. It was also the first time I had been to the Palm theater. It was sweet, I got the movie ticket (matinee), a soda, and a popcorn for $7.75-- Less than a regular movie at the downtown theater. Go see Napoleon Dynamite!

Blockbuster Applications Suck.
Since we've been in and out of Blockbuster so much lately, I feel like I've gotten to know the staff a little bit. They all seem like really cool people, all relaxed and what not. A week or so ago, a sign went up about how they are starting a use videogames counter at the store, and it said "now hiring." I figured if the job with CNS doesn't work out, maybe I could earn some extra cash at Blockbuster to buy some computer parts.

In the store (right next to the copies of Monk) they have a little "job center" with a thing that looks like the bastard child of a graphing calculator and a corporate phone, complete with annoyingly small QWERTY keyboard. While Jen and Matt got movies and groceries (at Ralph's across the street), I went through the entire application process and finally submitted it. Just now, as I sat down to write this entry I found I could have applied online. DOH. I could have done a copy and paste from my resume, but instead I sat there for 30+ minutes on that little stool typing on that small, cheap keyboard. Well, anyway, I guess I sent in my app and that's what counts. Now let's hope Blockbuster's fool-proof 1 million question personality assesment works better for me than Best Buy's did. Go impersonal hiring techniques, woohoo.
