So ends another crazy-ass week

At least it ended in videogames

This week I had two assignments due. First, I had to make a program in C that takes a number of files input, then outputs the top 10 words found in those files. I also had to make a MIPS CPU. Granted, I didn't have to actually fabricate the chip, but I had to build it in a software, which is still hard as hell to make it work right. Jen was here last weekend and I felt so bad cuz I spent so much time working on this crap. The word count program was due Monday night, and it took me until then to get it right. Then the CPU was due on Wednesday, so Tuesday night I stayed up and worked on it from 6pm to 6am. Turns out he extended the date until Friday, and I spent the next two days trying to get it to work right by Thursday so that I could get extra credit. Eventually I got it, or I confused him enough that he signed it off. Yay.

The worst part of it all was last Sunday I went to Toys-R-Us because they were having a sale on games- buy 2 get the 3rd one free. I got Paper Mario, X-men Legends, and Zelda: Four Swords. All week I was working on my projects and every time I would go into the living room my roommates were playing the new games. The horror!

Now the week is finally over and I spent most of Friday afternoon and yesterday morning playing games. I worked for 6 hours yesterday and made some money, as well as having my boss be really happy that I could make some time to work this weekend. Today was homework and things I have been meaning to do (Thank you notes from my birthday, bills, etc).

Ella has been way awesome lately- If you sit on the floor she will jump straight up onto your shoulder and chill for a minute. She has gotten a lot better about hanging out with people and is now even more fun to watch run around.

I can't believe Jen is going to be here in two months. I can hardly wait to be able to go over to her place without 5 hours in between.

Halloween was kinda disappointing- we had one pair of kids that came trick-or-treating to our house. We bought like 5 bags of candy last week at Target and have been saving them all week for the kids. Well, now I guess we'll just have to eat it all...

Current Music: Jay Z - The Threat (best bass in a song ever)
Flash animation of the Day: The Llama Song!!! - This is awesome beyond words.
Link of the Day: Threesome Linux - Actually called Ubuntu Linux, but there are two chicks and a dude on the splash screen. It is a really cool distro that I would advise anyone to try- only one CD and it has all the features you want in a good Linux distro- all the right apps, not 5 choices for everything, Debian's package management, and easy control panels. You can check out the LiveCD which lets you boot your computer up with it in and run Ubuntu without installing ANYTHING on your hard drive. Let's see windows do that =D

Right as I started to type this post, guess what crawls out from under my keyboard? Notice how this bastard is as big as my name. That is one hell of a halloween suprise. Tomorrow I'll feed him to the big spider out front and take video. :::cue "The circle of life" from The Lion King:::
